February 2nd, 2022, Eutaw Alabama

It has certainly been an eventful January.

Assistant City Clerk Joe Powell receives a check from Susie Harris, the Community Relations Manager for Greene County, with Alabama Power. As part of the annual franchise agreement with the city, in exchange for the use of the city right of way, Alabama Power pays a franchise tax. This amount, over $100,000 provides much needed revenue to the city’s general fund.

It wouldn’t be complete without a water leak….

The Eutaw Water Department worked tirelessly to repair a 6″ line break near O’Neal Street and Highway 43. The leak repair was complicated by a gas line and old plumbing. We are actively working on grants and funding to plan for infrastructure upgrades to ensure our water and wastewater system are around for many years.

T.S. Police Support League Donation

We are always happy to see Ms. Shelia Hann, with the T.S. Police Support Leage. Ms. Shelia always brings good wishes and much needed donations for the Eutaw Police Department. Mayor Johnson and Chief Johnson accept the donation.
